Earlier this month, Chris wrote about one of the questions he was recently asked by the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. Today he would like to share the answer he gave to one of the Chamber's other questions:
Q: Can you tell us about your political philosophy regarding the roles and priorities of government?
A: In my opinion, the top priorities of city government should be public safety and building/maintaining infrastructure. Cities that have good records in those areas are more likely to have a business-friendly economic environment that leads to healthy communities, a strong economic base and stable tax revenues.
